In a break from tradition Harlech MC decided to organise this rally at the Ranges, having been previously been held as a road rally for several years. It was a mixed event for Bala MC with Ken Pugh taking the win, but unfortunately Geoff rolled the Honda out of the rally on the penultimate stage.
The majority of the events saw a close battle between Ken Pugh / Gwawr Hughes and Meirion Roberts / Lowri Davies. Other Bala MC crews entered were Chris Phillips / Rhys Hughes at 4 and Dave Pritchard / Em Hall at 10. Chris eventually finished 5 th o/a and first in class. Dave and Em had an off at the road end flying finish, but still recorded a 2nd fastest time! A rotor arm problem was to put them out, however they completed the last 6 stages of the Trophy Rally, with Dave going into full entertainment mode!
