“King of the Ranges” Ken Pugh took another Trawsfynydd victory, this time with Ian Jones, in the Mitsubishi, from Will Rowlands/Nathan Williams in their Mk2 Escort. Third went to event sponsor Myfyr Owen, with Dafydd Jones, in another Mitsubishi.

This annual event lacked quantity, but had quality aplenty. Top seeds Gwyn Thomas/Peter Williams (Puma Cosworth) tied with Pugh/Jones after two stages but then spun off costing time and a front bumper. Later they attacked a chicane and retired. Pugh's win was hard-earned, Rowlands getting close despite running Historic Championship specification 70-profile tyres!

Bob Fowden/Jason Sugden (Impreza) made their first appearance at the venue but a couple of overshoots cost them too much time. Siblings Chris Phillips/Sarah Hughes took the 1600cc class and another top place in their 106 GTi. Richard Lewis/Emma Davies (Escort) retired with no drive and late entry Danny and daughter Samantha Postlethwaite (205) broke a steering arm.
